When you grown up and start to live a little,
jazz starts to make sense,
and it’s lovely.
This site journals the creation of an album based on Dave Eggers' short story collection, "How We Are Hungry." There are fifteen tracks, each based on a different story from the book. Once it has been completed and refined, the album is going to be sold in benefit of the non-profit organization, 826 National, an incredible project that Dave started using the profits of his own writings. The idea behind my project is to begin bridging the gap between songwriting and other creative media, to create something that pushes the potential of an album into the realms of cross-genre works, where both works build upon each other. Also, as I have already alluded, I want to use my art to help benefit those that foster creativity in others. I've seen a lot of really awesome philanthropic project arise lately, and I hope to be a part of furthering that mentality within artists.
