Yes, actually.  

I’ve written back and forth with McSweeney’s several times, and Dave and his secretary (who spoke on my behalf) met about the project in December and gave me a green light based on my presentation of ideas.  I sent them the demo of “Bloodletting” as it is presented earlier in this blog, as well as a few tracks I’ve produced for Levi Weaver (the guy singing the lyrics I write for this project).  They can be found here.  I sent “Spirit First” and “String Theory.”

I don’t want to go into too much detail about what we discussed, because a lot of the future of this project depends on the reception of it by Dave once it’s finished.  We mutually established from the beginning that McSweeney’s would not be the seller of this product, but I hope that Dave and McSweeney’s will be involved in a Kickstarter that helps to fund the beginning production (an idea that they agreed would be a great first step).

Half of all profit from this endeavor will be donated directly to Dave Eggers’ charity, 826 National (the expansion of the San Francisco based 826 Valencia).
